“It’s good to talk to PF staff as they listen to me; they’re a good bunch of people. They have helped me over the course of time I’ve been in prison and if it wasn’t for Prison Fellowship I don’t know where my life would be.”

Prison Work Prayer Requests

Magilligan

Pray that God will grant us to a fresh desire to serve him wholeheartedly, that we will see His saving grace in changing lives, and that we will continue in unity as we serve Him together. Pray for Governors, staff, Chaplaincy and prisoners.

Pray for the new multi-faith centre that is being built at Magilligan; give thanks for it and pray it will be used to the glory of God in the future days.

Maghaberry

Pray for the ‘Lifeplan’ group to continue to grow and the guys understand the so called ‘lucky coincidences’ they have been experiencing since they started to give their time to God and reading His Word.

Pray that they continue to ask questions and see that they are more than what people have labelled them throughout their lives- that they are unique, precious and very much loved by God, and that God can work in their lives as much inside prison as out.

Pray for the new group starting in Quoile, and for God’s blessing on it. Pray for the men to be curious about this new group starting up and that it will grow like the ‘Lifeplan’ group.

Pray that word will spread after the first week or two, and they will see it’s a safe place to come, to be honest, and ask any questions they have about God, Christianity, church, or any other related issues.

Hydebank Wood College & Female Prison

Give thanks for all the Bible studies, Coffee Mornings and special events that have run in Hydebank this year; pray that those who attended will continue that journey with God or towards God.

Pray for the women in prison, that God will heal them emotionally and spiritually, that they might find release from addiction, freedom from abuse, and hope for the future.

“Prison Fellowship has been a great help in a very difficult period of my life. They provide a really helpful listening ear, encouragement and hope for my future.”
