Christmas Hope is Prison Fellowship’s annual project to send a Christmas card to each prisoner in Northern Ireland and to provide hampers and toys for families at a time of year when prisoners’ relatives can feel alone, forgotten and under extra financial pressure.
Last year, with the help of many volunteers about 352 food and toy hampers were packed and delivered, making a huge difference for many of these families.
Each food hamper is worth about £50 and is made up of various items listed overleaf. Toys are all new and for children aged 0-16.
Christmas Hope is a very practical way of demonstrating God’s love. All new family contacts will be offered ongoing support by PF family workers in the New Year.
We believe every child deserves a new gift at Christmas so we are unable to accept used or second-hand items for Christmas Hope.
Suggested gift list for children and young people include:
Unfortunately, we cannot accept any food or toy items, not on the prescribed list. Please ensure all food items are new and in date and that all toys are new without wrapping.
To ensure Christmas delivery all items must be received by noon on,
Monday 11th December 2017.
